1-When did you first realize Palpatine was evil(or something wasn't right)?

1st time I saw Episode I, I didn't know Palpatine was Darth sidious, I figured it out before Episode II, though. I thought something was strange when he said, "I will be Chancellor." (I was like how could he be sure)
then he freaked out when Padme said that she was going back to Naboo. I wonder how his plans originally were or how they changed.

or did you already know palpatine was the emperor/sidious

2-What's your favorite quote of Palpatine?(if EU, say which book)

I love the quote, (ep. VI) "everything that has transpired, has done so according to my design."
