 | Recasting The Star Wars Saga |
I'll start with another fine Lucasfilm production, Willow.
"Forget all you know. Or think you know. All that you require is you intuition."
Pretend for a moment that George Lucas had started with Episode I instead of Episode IV and did not need to burden himself with casting actors that resembled their original trilogy counterparts. What type of physical description would you like to see in all the major characters? Anakin could be a brunette. Leia instead of Luke could be blond. One of the amusing anedotes Carrie Fisher has told about her casting is how beautiful the princess is described in the original screenplay and that is not how she perceived herself. So if the entire saga was brand new again what types of actors would you want cast in these beloved roles?
I have my own ideas, but I want to gauge what other fans thoughts are since my views are a liitle skewed as a result of the different plot ideas that I have relayed thus far.
Please go wild. Obi-Wan could be a Mon Calamari for instance. Yoda might be, gasp, taller and bluer or rather even smaller and greener.
