I just came back from a trip to Florida! Sun! Yay!

I had forgotten what it looked like, LOL.

Obviously, since it was our first trip to Florida and it's not likely we'll be going back for quite awhile, we HAD to visit Disney World, and I NEEDED a park-hopper pass so I could go on Star Tours (which is in Disney's Hollywood Studios and not in the Magic Kingdom . . . I swear they're just trying to suck as much money out of us as they can . . .)!!!! The trip was lovely, but, as my title suggests, this is mostly about Star Tours.
I've been to the Disneyland Star Tours plenty of times, but not recently, so it was a fun experience to go again. As we waited in line, the Jedi Training Academy show began, which bugged me because I wanted to see it!!! I heard their little Jedi pledge thing and saw a few kids in robes, but my view was limited. Wouldn't that be the coolest job to have - dressing up as a Jedi all day and sharing your love of Star Wars with a bunch of little padawans?! I'd LOVE that.

'Course, I bet we could smoke the people they've hired with all our SW knowledge.

Unless they've hired people from the Rebel Legion or something?? Not sure. Anyway, I didn't get to see much of the show, because soon we were inside.
It was a MASSIVE line, which was sort of encouraging, and it also gave me time to study the people around me. The guy behind us seemed somewhat knowledgeable about the Saga and told his kid some stuff -

. However, the girls in front of us (not blondes, surprisingly

) were TOTALLY RETARDED!! They started talking about Star Trek stuff and asked their dad, "Who's that guy with the cool glasses?" Oh. My. Gosh. Please. Kill. Me. Now.

I wanted to smack them but settled for mocking them quietly with my dad.
It was plenty of fun to see R2 and 3PO, but I have to say, I HATE that other stupid non-SW droid they have later on. I think he's an embarrassment, quite frankly. His dialogue is stupid, and for Pete's sake, it's not like there aren't other characters - even just droids - that they could replace him with. Some nice Jawas, perhaps.
The best part was the ride itself. There were all these little kids in front, and I loved hearing their reactions to everything! "Hey, there's R2!" "Whoa!" "Look out!" "Woo hoo!" "It's the Death Star!" "Yeah!" SO CUTE!

They made it so much more enjoyable.
And of course there was the lovely gift shop experience afterwards, where I got a shirt, a lightsaber key chain, and a ROTS poster. The shirt is black and says "Star Wars" in shiny silver lettering. They key chain is blue, lights up, and flashes. I meant to get Anakin's, but accidentally grabbed one that said "Jedi Training Academy" on it. Oh well.

They're all the same except for the color, anyway. The only thing I didn't like was that the children's Jedi robes cost $40!!!! I wanted to get 2 for my friend's little sisters (indoctrination!!

), but NO WAY was I paying that much. I'd rather learn to sew or something. Maybe I'll just get them some toy lightsabers (although that's
certain to go badly, lol

).
Just wanted to let you know.

Feel free to share your Star Tours experiences and/or what you did for spring break.

P.S. Putting the final touches on two more blogs: the Republic Commando series review I promised (mostly True Colors), and another blog. They should be ready soon.
Oh yeah! And in the spirit of
Vil's blog, some recognition for
another blogger.
