So I just got home roughly an hour ago and like any other weeknight right before I crash into bed I check out what's new online, particularly with the Star Wars universe.

The first on my RSS feed link button was rebelscum, I browsed thru the latest update they had regarding this so-called theatrical release for the 3D animated clone wars. It wasn't towards the very bottom of the story that caught me off guard...

UPDATE #4: Well we,ve been speculating since the Hasbro meeting and we now have a confirmation. Star Wars is coming back to the big screen in the form of Star Wars: The Clone Wars! Hitting North American theaters on August 15th, the series will then continue with 30 minute episodes on the Cartoon Newtork with repeat airings on TNT. International dates will be released soon.

Funny thing is I didn't click on the official announcment link just yet, I clicked on the links to the prelaunch shirts! The Ahsoka Hyperspace member only shirt is definitely going to be charged on my VISA debit.

So quickly right after I read the official news release from the official site then the USAtoday.com article and finally the Variety article

Man, this almost feels like a dream! Just like every other fan who thought it was all over immediately right after Revenge of the Sith I felt quite depressed knowing that, this was it. No more Star Wars experiences and memories to... experience at the movie theater! But alas almost 3 years later and Star Wars is alive and better than ever! I was fortunate enough to be able to attend C:IV last year and that was an awesome experience in itself, having the chance to attend The Clone Wars panel with Dave Filoni and Catherine Winder was a treat as well but nothing could have prepared me for what I was going to feel as soon as they surprised us with that trailer, I GOT GOOSEBUMPS!

So looking at my Star Wars desk calendar, we've still got more than 6 months 'til the release of this new Star Wars movie and while it isn't Episode VII (that's another blog entry) its still great news! And to think that on July 26 fans all over the country and perhaps around the world would be able to experience "midnight madness" at Wal*Mart's, TRU's and other toy/dept. stores with all the merchandise they will be releasing for the movie/tv show! Now I can't stop thinking of what i'd like to wear for the midnight screening, so i'm definitely going to take my 7 year old cousin who is a HUGE star wars fan of course the girlfriend will come along and perhaps many other friends. Ok so now, physically I am feeling tired but mentally, my mind can't help but keep imagining all the excitement ahead from not only The Clone Wars but The Force Unleashed before that, and perhaps C:V next year plus the 10th anniversary of TPM and of course the live action Star Wars tv show!

Ah... truly it is a great time to be a Star Wars fan and man... was I wrong to think that it was all over after Episode III, little did Ithink that... STAR WARS IS FOREVER!
