"Echo base, I found him repeat, er... I mean I found two of HIM."
So my friends and I just finished having a "movie night" at my gf's house. We watched The Good Sheperd which was loooong but pretty good and Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj which I mostly fell asleep through.:p

Fastforward to the last minutes of that Van Wilder movie and i'm awake. I kiss my gf good night and tuck her in and I head for my "speeder" a '94 pontiac grand am.

Then I began pondering on whether I should stop by that new Wal*Mart supercenter located just 5 minutes away from my house. I could stop by tomorrow morning after I drop of my younger siblings at school, but then there would be the morning traffic to deal with. I then wondered if there would be the slightest chance that they would have what I have been desperately looking for. If not, then I just go straight home so I don't waste anymore energy and time.

I insert my "Star Wars mix" cd in my player and before I know it, i'm already there. As I made my way towards the toy section, I noticed a couple of Hasbro boxes stacked on the floor. I come in for a closer look and its labeled "Star Wars: Darth Vader coin album" and I thought "SWEET!" but then I move in to the pegs themself and I spot the TAC but no McQuarrie concept Stormtrooper!? Only Obi-Wan's, R2's, Mustafar Lava Miner and a Galactic Marine, which I already have.

I soon notice 2 more boxes which are marked "Star Wars 3.75 action figures" my heart raced as i've never been in the presence of "fresh star wars toy cases" in my star wars toy collecting life! So I quickly look around and think "Should I ask a Wal*Mart associate to open the boxes for me?" I looked around for any surveillance cameras, there was none. Acting on impulse and excitement I grabbed my keys, knelt down on the floor and quickly yet ever so gently cut through the tape of the box, as I cut through the tape, I actually felt a little bit of an adrenaline rush. I thought to myself, "What if one of the Wal*Mart associates see me opening the box? Would I be apprehended and taken to their manager? No, I couldn't get in trouble. After all, I'm not stealing i'm just opening the box to find something I want to pay for. Nah, I shouldn't get into trouble. I finally finish cutting the tape and I open the four flaps and to my amazement, I see a case full of TAC figures! My eyes quickly scan the box and I see one, I pick it up and there it is right in front of me! The McQuarrie Concept: Stormtrooper!

Still numb from the surprise of "the hunt" I look at the other box and open it as well and I get the other one. Now before you say anything, NO. I am not a scalper.:p This is the very first time if my memory serves me well that I have purchased two of the same figure. Granted there is only one figure per case this will be the only time I will do this. One is obviously for me and the other I am actually going to attempt selling on eBay since I am low on C:IV funds and still saving up and if you are a fellow College student you would understand.:D

So yeah, that's my latest "toy hunt" story. Its good I thought about stopping by and checking, otherwise who knows when i'd ever be able to find one? Relying on that "gut" feeling really does pay off after all. I guess at times it doubles as "The Force" as well.:D
