Title: Junior Blog Assistant, Hyperspace
Reports to: Senior "Bootylicious" Jedi Master Mina ("JMM")

POSITION OBJECTIVE: TO ASSIST IN THE CREATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF HYPERSPACE BLOGS (WITH HUMOR) AND MAINTAIN QUALITY CONTROL STANDARDS.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Providing quality editorial work, take responsibility for one or more blog series, provide administrative and editorial support to ensure delivery of accurate, consistent, creative and successful blogs. Work closely with Sr. Jedi Master Mina, other Hyperspace Bloggers and MODS. Communicate with all parties involved and advise of each blog status and development. Laterally manage the awareness of JMM blogs, non-Hyperspace freelancers including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation Star Wars bloggers and celebrity bloggers such as Karen Traviss.

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
1. Work closely with JMM to localize one or more blog series.
2. Coordinate blog translation, rewriting, layout and correction.
3. Deliver blogs on schedule and on budget.
4. Ensure correct spelling, grammar and layout of blog.
5. Help monitor blog awareness submitted by other bloggers and/or non-Hyperspace freelancers...*coughs...luuke.skywalker*...such as The PLB Fan Club.
6. Work closely with JMM, other team blog members and MODS to maximize quality control of blog content.
7. Help JMM maintain awareness of competitive blogs and blog trends.
8. Maintain and develop positive and effective relations with all bloggers.
9. Maintain current knowledge of target blogger's needs and preferences.
10. Solve problems collaboratively with JMM and communicate concerns effectively.
11. Show creativity and initiative in enhancing and developing blog formats and designs.
12. Help check, double check, triple check and check-check all blog content.
13. Must be willing to monitor Firefly awareness as an interim substitute to Star Wars. At least until the SW TV series is released.
14. Be willing to blog about non-Star Wars related topics
15. Take on other duties as specified from time to time by JMM, such as house keeping, laundry, getting coffee, chocolate and running errands.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE AT LEAST SOME OF THE FOLLOWING:
Must speak, read and write Mando'a
Must be willing to think outside the box
Must be able to use a lightsaber and be willing to duel with kids or adults
Must be willing to contribute to Limerick Friday
Must be Force sensitive
Must dislike the Bush Administration
Must be willing to think of catchy titles for blogs such as "sexual innuendos"
Must adapt to an ever changing Star Wars environment
SENSE OF HUMOR
Positive attitude
Background in blog control
Experience in blog publishing
Minimum 1 blog posting required
Star Wars Degree required
Ability to give informed non-banter guidance to bloggers and writers
Creativity
Detail oriented organizational skills a must
Familiar with Hyperspace blogs, key blog provisions and all Lucasfilm licensed properties.
Familiarity with ALL youth and pop culture and blog products.
