An Omen day (6/6/06) in the life of Jedi Mina at Sith Incorporated (place I work):

---Received a parking violation with instructions stating that I have to park on the 8th floor of the parking garage. I don't have a "blue" permit to park on the remaining floors which are EMPTY. Upon trying to comply with this stupid violation I discovered that THERE IS NO 8TH FLOOR in the parking garage. Word of advice: NEVER tell someone who works in the legal field to park on a floor that does not exist...They might just take your word for it and drive right off the top of the roof.

---Recovered from the parking fiasco only to spill a WHOLE cup of coffee down the front of me, and I have not made it into the office yet. We are not talking a small cup of coffee here...*NOOOOOOOOOOO*....It was a GRANDE...And I was wearing WHITE, plus I had a meeting with a new software vendor. Can someone please cut this Jedi a break? Thank the Force the guy had a sense of humor.

---I start training on a new software system. This new system is awfully pretty and shiny and it is going to make my life a whole lot easier at work. I'm all jazzed, ready to enlighten my boss about the new system, when all of a sudden she bursts out crying. She accuses me of saying that her processes suck (which they do). Being the nimble Mina that I am, I dance around the subject and politely decline the accusation. Most legal professionals can do this very well. As a matter of fact, they can sell you some of the smelliest poodoo around...But that is for another blog.

She finally says to me, "I'm on medication." I jokingly respond back to her by saying, "Great, can I have some too?" She responds by saying, "No, you don't understand!"...*Mina gives legally blond look at boss*...Boss further states, "I have a MENTAL problem." Time for Mina to throw herself on her ligthsaber.

---I finish the training program with the systems guy only to discover that my department's current process takes 66 steps on the day of 6-6-06...

Two words: Order 66
