The other day I got this email from Hyperspace asking me to take a survey about Star Wars.com, among other things. I guess I should take that survey and speak now and let my voice be heard or forever hold my peace about it. In any event, I'll have to deal with the outcome, whether it's good, or bad, or even ugly.
You see, here's how it is; I'm not a fan of surveys. I don't like doing them, especially since I have to do them in my line of work (that's for another blog). Maybe I don't like them because I think they're a waste of time? Or maybe because I'm just lazy? Personally, I think I fall more on the lazy side.

In any event, I guess I just don't see the point, unless something good comes from it. And that remains to be seen in here.
There was a time when I couldn't keep up with the blogs on here. Always in motion, the blogs were. Things have slowed down quite a bit these days. Not that I'm complaining, I actually have a life outside of Star Wars.com now, and I find that...refreshing. Plus, I've made a ton of friends from Hyperspace, which I am thankful for.
What I don't find refreshing is coming online to Hyperspace only to see the same old blog page with the same old blog features and, sometimes, the same old (and I mean old) blogs at the top of the list. Not that that is a bad thing, it's just old. I know, I know, I can hear Yoda ringing in my ears right now, "When 900 years you reach, look as good, you will not"...Or something like that.
Anyway, old is good and comfortable but change is better and refreshing, to not only old eyes, but young eyes as well. Some things around here have changed, like the front page of Star Wars.com. I find it new and shiny and has lots of links to the GFFA world. What I'd like to see changed, though, is the blog page. I wish it was just as shiny as the front page, if not shiner, with new features and buttons.
I guess my point is, voices are only heard if spoken. Keeping your voice mute won't accomplish anything. So, go take ten minutes, or so, out of your day and complete that annoying survey you've been requested to fill out. Who knows? Maybe some good, maybe even some change might come out of it, making things a little more refreshing and shiny around here.
And on that note, I'm going back to my Force coma. Better yet, maybe I should finish my Steve Sansweet blog or how I got to have dinner with LucasFilms folks or how I met Mark Hamill...or not.
