Which Came First The Sith or The Jedi?

Using the proverbial question of life. "What came first the Chicken or the Egg"?

What do you beleive? Was there Light before there was darkness?

In the Bible, First there was darkness. Then God created the Light and life.

Throught #1; If the Sith are fallen Jedi, to say Jedi fallen to the Dark side of the Force? That Would mean the Light came before the darkness.

Thought #2; If the Sith were a Powerful Force sensitive Species? Then a powerful Sith Lord, wise and caring, created the light (The Jedi).
If this is true, then why was it the Jedi's destiny to fight against and destory the Sith?

Thought #3; Could the Yuuzhan Vong be the Sith Species? We know that they were a conquering, waring race. We know their present in the force was taken away by a greater power (Home World or their Gods). They have knowledge to create life, and showed signs they anticipated their Emenies moves and thoughts.

Thought #4; Or could the Killiks, be the link to the Sith Species? they are an Ancient Species. We know this,but How long we don't know. We have the quotes #1 (Luke Skywalker); "The Killiks are tied the the History of the Galaxy in a way we don't understand Yet" Quote #2 (Jacen Solo); They were a Civilzation before the Sith were Spawned".

I don't know exactly, but that is why I wrote this. I hope to find the truth, with your help and comment!

date Posted: Sep 30, 2005 2:36 AM According to the timeline now, the CULT Sith came after the Jedi Order, but the SPECIES Sith came before the Jedi Order. But because into NJO, there is no light and dark side now, only the unifying Force, so neither light nor darkness came before each other that's what i thought..

Well it depends on what you mean by Sith. Because the Sith are actually a race of people who worship the dark side force wielders like they were Gods and then those force wielders became known as Sith Lords or Lords of the Sith. Darth Vader and Darth Sidious amonth countless other Darths are not Siths, they are Sith Lords or Lords of the Sith. So the Sith came before the Jedi religion, but the Jedi came before the Sith Lords or Lords of the Sith. Before the Sith Lords became Sith Lords, they were Jedi that wanted to study other force powers which became known as darkside force powers.

date Posted: Sep 30, 2005 4:30 AM Dark and Light came into existence at the same time. The people with the ability to wield both of them came later. As to which came first I have no idea.

date Posted: Sep 30, 2005 5:08 AM Who really knows? force sensitive and weilding species, including the sith have been around for god knows how long. The real question is which "side" was used first? and I think that was the dark side.

the jedi wanted to destroy the sith because, the sith were very warlike and evil, always making trouble, vying for power, and trying to take over the galaxy. im sure the jedi were first. because the first sith were fallen jedi who went to an unknown planet and settled there and interbreeded with the native species, and learned the Dark force magic from the natives.

date Posted: Sep 30, 2005 6:59 AM I think the Jedi came first bacause without the Jedi there is no Sith. I think one of the early Jedi didn't really like the idea of the Jedi and went off and started his own cult.

date Posted: Sep 30, 2005 11:28 AM The Jedi were first. Dark Jedi, who left the order or were never Jedi in the first place, started a war with the Jedi. The Jedi won, and banished them from the Republic. They settled on the Sith homeworld and over time, the two peoples became one.(KOTOR lore for you.)

I agree with master kenobi, the Jedi were first and some of them were seduced by power and became Dark Jedi. Then they were banished to the sith homeworld after being bested by the Jedi. Once on the Sith homeworld they used their powers to rule over the primitive force sensitive race, that is how they became Sith Lords. Then as their numbers began to dwindle they mixed with the primitive race and eventually they became one.

date Posted: Oct 05, 2005 6:29 PM I haven`t read so much in to that, but I think the light side came first...because sith never go in to the light, but the jedi can sometimes go in to the dark....so my opinion isthat the jedi came first
