ok, I figured as my 1st blog I should post how I found Star Wars. The day is May 18th,2005 or the day before Revenge of the Sith comes out. Some of my friends are really physic'd out cause tonight they have tickets for the ROTS midnight showing. I don't and really don't care cause I've never seen any of them before. I didn't dislike Star Wars but science fiction at this time wasn't really my type. Anyway one of my friends calls and says he is sick and can't come. They offer me the ticket cause they are already fandango'd and can't return them. I really didn't want to go but was lik whatever, sure. They then decided to make me watch Ep 1 & 2 so I am not completly lost. I watched them and I'll admit, I enjoyed them but wasn't dazzled by them.
So I go see Revenge. And I know some people have talked about that moment, well I had one of those. When Anakin is laying on the operating table and the armor is being placed on him. Right there I realized I had a new obsession on my hands.
Now almost 3 years later I have endulged myself in all aspects of Star Wars. I love the EU and am really excited for the animated and live action TV shows. While I'm still a newbie compared to most fans, I am proud to call myself now a geek, which 3 years ago I was not at all. My friends who took me to see this film aren't fans, they just wanted to be in with the hype. They didn't realize what they had started.
