Star Wars Celebration III
I loved Star Wars Celebration III. I bought a one day pass due to lack of family or friends to attend with me. I got my mom and younger brother to attend. We attended the last day of the Celebration. I got several cool collectibles, posters, calenders, and a Yoda character key. It was the last one. I did not get a a chance to get autographs due to lack of money. I walk through the lesser known actors/actresses area and took photographs of them signing other people's photos. I got the woman who played Mon Mothma in Return of the Jedi to pose for me. The guy who played Ric Olie also posed for me. One of the guys who puppeteered Max Rebo Band also posed for me. I almost got a photo of a caravan of star wars women dressed in handmade Slave Leia outfits. My mom and brother were there and I felt unsure about taking a photo of women in skimpy clothing in front of them.

i ended up going to CIII also, but i wasnt about to let lack of family or friends get in my way. i went with my dad, but hes not really into star wars, so he was there with me the first day, and i went and did my own thing the other 3 days. i have to say, it was possibly the best consecutive 4 days of my life. i brought all my cash with me (300 dollars) and spend every penny of it. i got 5 autographs, and bought tons of stuff from people selling their collections at the convention. i went all out, thinking that would either be the last star wars convention ever, or at least the last one i would go to.

now there is talk about a CIV next year. if it happens, ill be better prepared (meaning ill have more than 300 dollars with me). one real cool part was when i met nick gillard in the hallway and he took a picture with me and we talked for a few minutes. and i got to see george lucas, and i didnt have to wait all night to see him. i just kind of waltzed up and they let me in.

Celebration III has cool! I was disappointed not to be able to get to get some things from the Celebration store. The lines were packed and I had one day to see everythng. That also meant I missed the Archive exhibit too. I missed the one man star wars trilogy. I was there to see Star Wars celebrities and to buy Star Wars collectibles. It is a shame alot of star wars collectors were showcasing their products but weren't selling them there. They told me to go to their website to buy them. Hallmark told me that. You couldn't buy the old hallmark ornaments through the company. I loved the life-sized x-wing and the fans with the costumes. Especially the slave leias walking around.
