My Star Wars Library (359 books and counting)
I recently discovered a site called Librarytihng.com. Basically, it is a site that lets you catalog your entire library of books by being connected to amazon.com and the library of congress. It also allows you to add your own books that can't be found on the searches.

Since I have a pretty HUGE star wars book collection, I thought I'd be a nice guy and stick the entire collection on the site, and then rate all the books on the 5 star rating system, and perhaps do reviews for a few of them.

This way, if you are looking for a reccomendation on what book to read next, it is a fairly simple matter to find one of my higher rated books and go out and buy it. As time permits, I will also do some reviews starting with the 5 star books and working down.

Categories of books that can be found on my catalog:
Novels: (Novels written for adults)
Novellas: (Novels written for kids)
WEG RPG: (The D6 RPG books)
WOTC RPG: (The D20 RPG books)
Reference books: (Essential guides, cross sections, visual dictionaries, etc)
Comics: (Dark Horse and Marvel, haven't added all of these yet though)
Video Game Strategy Guides: (For all systems)

Now I don't have absolutely every single star wars book for each of these categories (pretty close though, and if you don't count alternate editions, probably 100% in some categories)

In any case, I thought this might be useful to some of you all, so here is the link:

Don't forget to leave a comment here or on my librarything profile if you found it useful!

Holy cow that's alot of books. I own a dozen or so (though I've read ALMOST all the novels) and my wife thinks I've gone off the deep end. She wants to sell them or donate them.

Thanks for the list! I looked at some of the books I've read to "calibrate" your rating system. I agree with you, so I'll start at 5 stars and work my way down. FWIW, I've read most of the first page; I don't have time to look around much further right now :)

Yeah I am down with obscure WEG books. I have a fairly complete library (missing most of the 1st edition stuff that was reprinted [though I have all the 1st ed stuff that was NOT reprinted in 2nd edition], and some of the box sets) A lot of the WEG material was great. Some of it has that dated, campy feel, but a lot of it was really modern too, like the Rebel SpecFor guide, or the Imperial Sourcebook to name a few. The WOTC products did not seem to have half the ambition of the WEG line.

I think WOTC would soil themselves before they would consider putting out something like the CIS Sourcebook (something along the lines of an Imperial Sourcebook). WEG didn't seem at all afraid to only sell 4,000 copies of a book because the subject matter was only going to appeal to a smaller cross section of players (How many people really bought GG8: Scouts) Anyway, yeah, I have that completist OCD DNA, and the result of that was this huge library.

::O ::O ::O ::O ::O ::O OMW I am only on page 9 and I see this is already an amazing collection. But looking through this I can already tell that in the SWU you are one of three: amazing, average or awful. Is this what you think as well? Or is it just me?

OMW again!! This is a very huge collection!! I do have a question though, when a book had no stars (like the video game guide books) did they really score that low or did you just not review them?
