The Joy and the Sorrow
First things first:
The Joy

If you dare to click the link above, you will be led into another world. A world of craziness. A world of half-a-year ago when I first purchased my CIV badge. A world of dumping change out of a coffee can and rejoicing at the clink of nickles and dimes. A world of...eh, I'm out of interesting worlds, so if you're bored and have nothing better to do, just click the silly link.

And last things last:
The Sorrow

Over the last year or so, I've watched a number of fan-made music videos for various fandoms. Somewhere in there, I decided that I had the ability to make a music video, too. I started with a music video for my most recent obsession, House M.D., and since then, I've added two more full-length House videos and one House teaser video.

I haven't abandoned Star Wars. So chill out. I'm getting to that.

I've had Saga music video ideas floating in my head for a long, long time. Since Attack of the Clones, I've wanted to tell a couple of stories, but I never had the ability to do so. I had the songs. I had the images in my mind. But I lacked the images on the screen.

But now...now I have the ability to find, select, edit and play as much as I want. And thus, the first Star Wars music video by me has been born.

After Revenge of the Sith, I was mortified that Anakin Skywalker made the personal choices he made (yes, depsite the fact that I know those choices had to be made in order to even have a saga to love and adore). However, it pained me to watch him turn to the Dark Side, to lay down everything in order to save himself from the self-perceived failure of being unable to save a loved one from death. Did that make sense? Probably not.

The hope that he could save people from death. The hope that he would never again have to face death eye-to-eye. And ironically, this power was to be brought about by more death. The death of peers and innocents. And the death of himself. Dead to who he once was, dead to whoever he would have been. Consumed and eaten and gone.

But now I'm being mellow-dramatic. So I'll move on.

I wanted to tell Anakin's story simply. To show his thoughts during this time, what led to his decision. And I'm done now. Because I'm rambling. And rambling makes for bad blog entries. Oh! But I have to say (on a completely-but-not-so-completely different note) that I'm excited to hear that there will be a series of young adult books which will explore the saga from Darth Vader's point of view and give us insight into his thoughts regarding all of these situations. To read more about that, click here.

And lastly, the point of this entry...
