For me Luke Skywalker is the most saddest character for all the tradedy that has shaped his life. His first was when his tatooine guardiands were murdered, a second time when his mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi became one with the force and a third time when his father became one with the force and following the lost of shire Brie whom he had followen in love with even though she turned out to be a double agent. Next would be the lost of Callista and then Akanah whom he sadly found out was just manipulating him. I don't think he could of taken another emotional blow like , so thank God he found lasting love with Mara Jade. He needed someone to carry the huge emotional load he was carrying, on that note we all need someone we can relly on for such things, a soulamte, a lover.
