The Force Unleashed
Hey fellow Star Wars fans! Today (or night, on my side of the Earth) I will be blogging about the upcoming game, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Some of these ideas are inspired by the people's thoughts in the Force Unleashed thread.

First of all, this game is going to rock. No doubt there. But, the reason I really want to put my thoughts on this blog is because I want to express my ideas of a possible plot. Here we go:

All right, I think the entire game should be, of course, The Apprentice hunting down the remaining Jedi. But the thing that has me thinking is the ending. I think a good ending would be for Vader, feeling that The Apprentice has become too powerful, sends him on a mission to Alderaan right before it's destroyed. The Apprentice figures out his plans and doesn't go to Alderaan. But Vader would still think he's dead. Of course, the Apprentice wouldn't go back to Vader; he tried to kill The Apprentice! Another possible choice would be for the Emperor to discover The Apprentice, and order Vader to kill him. Vader could take the easy route and send him to Alderaan, and then the above things would happen.

The Apprentice would have to make a choice: Redemption or damnation?

Let's consider redemption. The Apprentice could either join the Rebellion, or enter the Unknown Regions. Now, if he joined the Rebellion, he would probably have to completely foresake his Force powers and disguise himself so that no one would recognize or feel him. If he traveled into the Unknown Regions, he could form a troop of newly taught Jedi, in hopes of rising up against the Empire.

And now, let's consider damnation. This would be similiar to redemption, in my opinion. I would think that he might travel into the Unknown Regions, and make a new Sith Empire, hoping to defeat the current Empire.

Either of these choices would leave the series open for a sequal, a comic series, or even a book or two.

Well, this is the end of my blog. I picked the above picture because Darth Sion looks like a crispy version of The Apprentice. :p

May the Force be with you all! ;

Interesting thoughts. I do like your ideas. I guess we will have to wait until the game comes out to find out the plot. I definitely know my oldest padawan and I are certainly going to want a copy of that game . It's gonna ROCK!!!

good blog, I can't wait for this game. Should be the best sw game yet. I think that the apprentice is going to take off into hiding at the end. It would make sense, you don't want to end up dying at the end, he can't kill Vader or Sids but someone has to resurrect the Sith after Vader is redeemed and Sids dies. So it would make sense that the apprentice comes out of hiding (in a Sith sense of coming out of hiding) after ROTJ to train others continuing the sith line including Lumiya and Caedus

You have some good ideas, and i really think there should be a sequal to it depending on if it really is as good as we think.And I like redemption more then damnation, because it would be a really good way to show how anyone can escape the darkside of the force.

Great blog! What I found interesting is that you gave multiple scenarios. Would we be able to choose which one, as in KotoR? That would be very cool.

Like KOTOR you will be given choices as to how you want the character to advance, which I believe will be follow the Sith or turn away from them. I believe in turning away your ultimate end will be in facing Vader. If you stay turn to the Sith ways I have no idea what the ending will bring..
However you know that he can't live since he can't be in the picture for A New Hope

What if he some how learns the secret of how to live forever ,until someone kills him that is, and he becomes Darth Krayt years later. Pretty cool for a Sith Lord; ]:) But it would be cool if at the end of the game if it shows him die on Alderaan. But before it does it shows what it's like before it exploded.

Thankyou for the comments everyone!

Come to think of it, choosing at the very end what path you take (light or dark) would be really cool. Perhaps we can see Alderaan destroyed, but not know what happens to The Apprentice. And I also like TY's idea of seeing Alderaan before it's destroyed. :D

May the Force be with you all! ;

I don't think Vader would want to kill the apprentice. He needs him to take down the Emperor. I think that your Alderaan ideas above are pretty interesting, except think about it this way: how about Vader sends him to Alderaan in search of Jedi, and while he's there, Alderaan receives a transmission from Tarkin explaining that it will be destroyed. Apprentice escapes the destruction, but thinks that it was Vader who pulled the plug. You have to remember that it was Tarkin who chose to destroy Alderaan not Vader. Vader just sort of sat back and watched.

Good thoughts, dude!

Hmm...

Interesting thoughts. I'm pretty sure that the folks over at Lucasarts are imaginative enough to give us more then one shock, and am looking forward to what will be revealed when the game does finally come out. It'll be a long while before I'll be able to play it, though...

God Bless,

May the Force be with you, always...

I agree Aurin, LA can give us a good game with a nice shock, just like they did with Kotor.

And yes, Darthcaedus, this will be on the Wii. :)
