President Ford we will miss you
A short while ago America lost a great man. While he was'nt the greatest
President,he did keep us all together in a time when unity was one of the rarest commodities. He was a great man and America will be sure to feel his lose as not the loss of a man,but the loss of a hero.

If i may quote from That '70s Show Season 1 Episode 3:

"Red [talking to Gerald R. Ford after seeing someone run through commitee room naked with Nixon mask on]: Hey Gerry... here's my question: 'how the hell could you pardon nixon?!'"

Yes, Ford was a good president and will be missed. While he did little in terms of things people will remember him for, he did restore faith in the Presidency.

P.S. I was born in '90 so I didn't know much about him, but from my own studies I knew him. He wasn't that bad.

Aye...
He was a fair President.

Didnt do anything great.... but didnt do anything greatly wrong either.

Considering he was following a disgrace (Nixon) he did a good job of (at least) restoring the 'respect for the office'... which may have been his most important accomplishment as CiC.

Of course then came the debacle that was the 'Carter Era'...

Regan floated through all this and then became the best President weve had since Truman and Eisenhower.

Come to think....

The last 30 years of Democrate Presidents have been huge nightmares for the U.S.

Dont even need to get into Carter and his "great man but terrible President" ways, but... Clinton??? Good lord... such a tremendous blow to the U.S. image as THE super-power of the world that we still havent recovered almost 7 years later!!!

Bush II's time is winding down now, and he easily could have been a great President but, he has all the 21st century mainstream media fighting against him so.... he will be known (at least in the short term) as an average CiC, at best.... his great vision wont been seen and recognized until many years after he's left office :(
