Mustafar inspired Vader's Mask?
Greetings Bloggers

Whilst watching Revenge of the Sith today, my eyes caught glimpse of another visual effect which may or may not of been coincidental, also apoligies if this has been noticed previously. Take a look at the Link Below

Mustafar Conference Room

If you hadnt guessed alread, it looks highly familar to Vaders Mask, during this moment linked below.

Crowning of Vader

Coincidence I think not ?:|

My Theory is, that the similarity marked the emotional turmoil and pure anger Anakin experienced after the two most fatal incidents which played part of his submission to the darkside. Killing the Seperatists in that room marked a notable ending of the Confederacy and brought rise to the grand empires full dominance. Its a pretty petty theory. But some insight from you guys would spread a little lighto n the situation im sure

Apoligies in advance if im being Mister Obvious

Ooh, good spotting!

Also, did you notice Vader's domed head is vaguely reminiscant of R2's dome?

Coincidence?

I don't think.

Period.

You're too kind. :8}

Interesting theory! I find it to be very reasonable. Perhaps the inside of the mask was meant by Palpatine to continually remind Anakin of what he did, and thus continue his march to the dark side. A continual reminder of the dark side. Scary.

That Palpatine... he just never lays off does he?

Anyways, good entry. I never noticed that before, myself, but it's a good thought.

I don't know; I think any similarity is not in-story, but simply in set design. But I would agree with Mechu-Deru's original premise; I think the makers of Revenge of the Sith meant for that shot to resemble Vader's mask.

I had seen this before, but can't quite remember where ... not sure if it was the extras on the dvd? Anyway, good catch and it is quite telling of the battle going on inside Anakin's (Vader's) head at the time.

It would make sense as after reading about Plagueis, he used similar methods to develop the dark side in Sidious.

Well, if you're being Mr. Obvious, then I'm Mr. Clueless,

You learn learn something new everyday

Anyways, good entry.

Thanks :D
