Why do you believe in the Force?
Does the force choose you or do you choose the force?

The younglings in the Jedi Temple were raised to respect the force.
They were also taught how to control their emotions and let the force guide there actions in a positive way.
Entering their teen years they are assigned to a Jedi Master to begin their padawan teachings. More responsability is given to them and they are expected to not only take their lightsaber skills to a new level, but keep up with their studies.
Yoda anointing you a Jedi Night was a very special honor. You really had to have great disipline to get thru the trials.

In our own lives how do we messure up to the life of a youngling, padawan, Jedi Night.
As Younglings our parents take us to worship on Sunday.
As Padawans our parents take us to worship and we are expect to learn more about our religion. What symbols mean. What different prays mean.
As Jedi Nights, we are expected to take on a more active roll in our places of worship and do our best to encourage the younglings to pay attention.

Now, as adults: do you go to worship on Sunday because you are expected to or because you choose to. Do you sit at home on Saturday evening thinking " man I'd really like to sleep in tormorow. But I've got to get up and go to church. Ug. OR do you sit at home on Saturday and think
I can't wait to go to church in the morning to hear what words of wisdom I may recieve from my pastor.
Do you recite the prays in church because you know them by heart, or because your heart is reciting them to you.

How does this relate to Star Wars
Well, Anakin started using the force for his own benifit. He assumed he was better than everyone else, so he didn't have to show much respect to the other Masters. He assumed that the force had chosen him to be the next great Jedi, so why should he not take it for granted.

Luke, being raised with respect for life and family saw the force as something that would show him the best way to live life.
A mysterious yet entriging religion that would help him save his father and his friends.

So I ask again, do you belive in your religion because your heart leads you to it, or because that's just what you have always done on Sunday morning.

Personally, I've expericned the best and worst life has to throw at me.
I've always felt a pair of hands holding me up when I really wanted to fall down.
There is a God and I know he loves me and takes care of me.

May The Force Be With You, All Always
