It's been 84 years, and I can still smell the fresh paint.

Ok, so it hasn't been 84 years...it's been two...but I still feel like I can smell the paint of the exhibit in the Vader Project! (Unfortunately I can also recall the scent on the non-working deodorant of some of those who were in costume all day long...

)
Two years since Celebration IV. Wow.
this past weekend, I pulled out my photo album/scrapbook of that magical weekend at the Los Angeles Convention Center. I recalled all the sweet memories of meeting other bloggers for the first time IRL, reaquainting with others, and just taking in all of the sights and sounds of the 30th celebration of our beloved saga.
Since then, as much has changed as has stayed the same.
We don't see as much overall traffic on the blogs as we used to (except for our beloved Stooge, who tirelessly brings us our much-needed joke-of-the-day), and some of us (especially me, I'll admit) have not written much in the last year. I still look at/read many of the entries, but I find myself being more selective these days. Not that I'm trying to be a stuck up, half-witted....oh, you know the rest...but just like the rest of our lives, there comes a time to pick our battles.
Friendships and acquaintences have morphed in the ebb and flow of life over the last two years as well. I certainly feel much closer to some, and my relationships with others have faded; even becoming somewhat disappointing, or disintegrating completely. I don't fault anyone - it's just how life is. We grow, we change and we evolve.
One thing that will never change is how Star Wars has touched - and continues to touch - all our lives. I am grateful for this arena where we can all come together, despite our differences, and share a common love.
I wish all of you the best in your lives - no matter what direction your lives may take - and hope that the Force always has a hold on you in some way!
I closing, I feel the need to share a couple of photos. Take a walk down memory lane, if you wish!
