Okay, who's done the Marathon yet?
Man am I shelackered.

I have just watched the holy saga from episodes I to VI as well as Volume 1 of Clone Wars and The Two Ewok Movies with a group of mates.

Now that I've sat through the lot and watched things transpire IN ORDER!!!, I have noticed and rethought many things about Star Wars.

Number one whch is very surprising for me to ever say this, is:

The end music for Return of the Jedi seems more appropriate now, even though Yub Nub holds a special place in my heart. Upon first seeing the special editions, it was one thing that initially dissapointed me, but I have to say it is more respectful to the whole story than the boppy "Hakuna Matata-esque" original Ewok ditty.

Number two:

Throwing Palpatine into the reactor core seem much more powerful, given that we now know what he did to Anakin, and what he took away from him. (plus it mirrors the choice scene in Revenge of the Sith when force lightning is used on Mace, similar to Luke)

Number three:

Showing characters like Chewie and Threepio in bad conditions really demonstrates how much the Empire effects everyones lives. ie: Threepio was a shiny butler, serving the highest class citezens on Coruscant, and now he's in a junk pile in a Jawa Sandcrawler. Chewbacca was a proud tribe leader, now he's in a seedy bar on the run from bounty hunters.

Theres much more i could mention, but I have a much larger apprecation of the prequels, and it actually enriched the OT when you take the whole saga into context.

What do you think?
