It's a great time to be a geek.

Hollywood has bent to our will, and our numbers have risen during the last decade. More and more people have "come out of the geek closet" and are no longer afraid to indulge in their geek activities publicly.

Although we have been considered a minority in modern society, doesn't it make you happy to feel like you are one of the few that "gets it"? No longer are we considered the "stupid ones". Every movie and T.V series I watch depicts "jocks" and "popular girls" as morons, rather than those that we should aspire to be like!

At a screening of "The Fellowship of the Ring" a saw to blokes leaving the cinema excited by what they had just seen. They were the guys that used to dish out on me for playing Dungeons and Dragons, reading Tolkien and proudly wearing my old "Star Wars" T-Shirt in high school. I piffed what was left of my Mountain Dew at them screaming: "I TOLD YOU IT WAS COOL!!!!"
They turned to pummell me just like old times, but sauntered off when they realised that I was surrounded by a horde of fellow geeks, who were still pumped after seeing the movie.

The tables have turned! It seems like we're FASHIONABLE all of a sudden. I can't even walk three metres through the city without seeing a Men's fashion store with dummies that remind me of the guys who used the play Dungeons and Dragons in the Garage with me in high school. I feel so rock and roll now, when I see these frauds wearing Ramones T-Shirts, when they used to tell me the music I listened to was stupid!!! And everyone else on the planet has gone all wiggedy wiggedy whack and floppy. I eagerly look forward to the future, when they take a look back at themselves and cringe.

It's like Everyone's is stupid but us, and I love it!
