Celebration IV Experiences and some final thoughts...
It's hard to believe that it's been a full week since CIV ended. The whole week, was a great experience, both the longest and the shortest week of my life. This was my first convention-celebration-thing-whatever of this size, and I absolutely loved every second of it.

Some final thoughts on the experience, and some great memories...

Meeting the guys of the ForceCast from TF.N and Rebelscum.com, such absolutely nice guys, and getting to watch the "live" show was fun.

Barrie Holland's reaction to the "U Rbl Scm" license plate that we asked him to sign. It was so funny and amazing. He was tickled by the plate and even had to share it with the other "imperials"

Are all actors so short? Haha, I guess it's part of the movie magic, but seeing Ray Park, Temuera Morrison, Carrie Fisher, etc. in person, and I really noticed how short everyone seemed. I'm no NBA star myself (6'-1" for the record).

Were there were panels at the show? I didn't notice. Haha. We only made it to about 2 panels the whole time. It was so much fun, to just walk around the different exhibit halls, see the displays and setups (Am I the only one who thought the Archives were a little too small?). It was almost more fun just to walk around and see all the costumers.

The costumes and costumers! Such originality and thought put into the costumes. The level of detail was amazing too. All the energy that went into these is beyond my comprehension. And yes, I was in costume too.
Of course, everyone loved my wife's Padme outfit, so there was lots of people asking to take our pictures. It was fun to pose for pictures. *edit* You can check out our pictures here

Everyone was just so nice. While this was my first con of this size, I've been to smaller, local cons, as well as major sports games, theme parks and other events coming close to the same # of people. What amazed me this time was how nice everyone was. I didn't see anyone really making trouble, causing a scene. I don't recall seeing any fights. Everyone seemed to be so nice and just wanted to get along and have fun.

The X-wing! I've seen it in pictures, I remember the one that used to be at Disneyland. (I wonder if this is the same one or not?) One thing, I was hoping for was a picture with the Xwing, and I got it :D

We got interviewed!! But, I don't know by who! Walking out of the exhibitor hall, in costume, and a trio of people put a camera and microphone in our face and asked if they could ask us questions. Of course, we agreed. It was typical "Why do you like it?" type questions, but it was fun to be interviewed.

Can't forget about one of the biggest highlights of the week, which was of course, the 6 Movie Marathon. Have to admit we missed the first 20 minutes or so of Episode 1 due to parking mishaps and getting a little bit lost, but we stuck thru it and stayed all the way thru to the end of Jedi. Who would have thought it was so exhausting to just sit there and watch movies for 15 hours? Overpriced food and WAY too much air conditioning aside, it was a blast to see all the movies back to back with a HUGE screen and a BOOMING sound system. Hearing the crowd cheer the heroes, boo the villains (and Jar jar, haha) just made it even better. This is the way these movies were meant to be seen.

Well, CIV has come and gone now, and we are all forced to go back to our daily routines now. But, I know I'm counting the days until CV! I will be there regardless of where in the country it is held.

Leave me some feedback, share some CIV stories...
