Quickie Star Wars Actors Database update then back to work!!

John Knoll and his team have made quite a splash this year in awards...and so has ILM.

Knoll and his team have garnered two VES awards, the first for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Visual lEffects Driven Motion Picture for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and the other for Best Single Visual Effect of the Year for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - The Flying Dutchman sequence.

Earlier this week he and the team received a BAFTA (British Academy Awards) for Achievement in Special Effects for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
YAY them!!

Other Star Wars alumnae on the awards track...

David W. Collins (with Jesse Harlin) received a nomination from the Game Audio Network Guild for their Thrillville song Dr. Kunkel's Funnkel which you can listen to at his MySpace page.
Excellent stuff!!

Fionnula Flanagan won an Irish Film & Television Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in Transamerica.
Well deserved!!

Nash Edgerton took Second Runner Up at the Fylmz Festival with his short Lucky.
