Star Wars Trumpeter Retires...
True legend, Maurice Murphy of the London Symphony Orchestra, is retiring this month. His very first job was playing trumpet on the Star Wars soundtrack! Cool that he retired in the 30th Anniv year of SW release.

Listen to the podcast about Mr. Murphy and his contributions...you WILL recognize his work immediately and the podcats speaks volumes more than I could here. ;)

From the LSO site:
Maurice memories
Do you have any memories of Maurice Murphy that you would like to share? Were you taught by Maurice, or was Star Wars the first film you saw as a child? Email us at comment@lso.co.uk with your favourite Maurice memory!

ENJOY!!

We all wish him a very good retirement!!

Nice post. One of the things that I've always loved about Star Wars is the love for even the 'lesser' people involved in it's creation.
