Katie Johnson 1998-2005
The greatest part of joining the Star Wars community is getting to know fellow fans. It is the fun shared between us that keeps the movies alive and makes the clubs and conventions such joyous and memorable events. This oneness of spirit also makes losses within our Star Wars family more poignant.

On Tuesday August 9th, Katie Johnson's battle with cancer came to an end as she transcended to be one with the Force. Katie's story personally touched my life, and I wish I could have had the opportunity to meet her. My sympathy and strength goes to Katie's family and friends today. For those that do not know of Katie, please head to http://www.ForKatie.org (don't miss the "continue to ForKatie.org" link at the bottom of the front page for more information).

Wow, only 7 years old......so young. :( I guess that goes to show everyone that diseases such as cancer know no boundaries and that we are all at risk. Her passing is a terrible tragedy, but we can all take a measure of relief in knowing that little Katie is no longer in pain, and that she is will be with God and all the Angels real soon and enjoy Paradise forever.

It has been that God truly picks His flowers in their fullest bloom, whenever that may be. Katie always sounded like a beautiful little flower. May she have a special and bright place in Heaven's garden forever.
