Last weekend I had the chance to fly from Nevada to Columbus, Ohio, for the opening of Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination at COSI. Check out the
COSI Star Wars exhibit blog for continuing coverage of the exhibit's stay in Ohio. Follow this
link to the gallery I created for the pics I took.
I spent the weekend with my buddy
Joe (Corroney that is, Star Wars artist and swell guy - link to his blog at left). We attended the midnight to 3AM premiere, then went back again on Sunday afternoon. On both occasions we
joined Justin of
World Famous Comics (known in our community for his Star Wars
sketch card art, and as the model for Jedi Kai Justiss)
Joe took the opportunity of having a large memory card in my camera, and plenty of 501st costumes around to shoot a bunch of reference shots to file away for potential art assignments down the road. If you were suited up Friday or Sunday and Joe or I asked to take your picture, you'll find it
here.
In the middle of my photo gallery, between all of the great costume shots, are
pics of the movie costumes and props on display in the exhibit. If you are in the Ohio area, it is a must stop location. The exhibit will be in Columbus through September 4. The exhibit will be heading to Portland, Oregon, next.
