Life here in the US is better than life anywhere else. The politics are less than desirable, but I can get by with a roof over my head and dinner every night. Once again, the politics aren't that great, but I'm not here to give you a political rant, I'm here to show you the ingenious similarity between Star Wars, and the political situation today. (No, I'm not gonna bad-mouth Bush if that's what you're reading for.) First of all, in Star Wars, the difference between good and evil is very clear cut. Deciding good and evil in real life is a little harder, but for the most part, it's not to bad. In Star Wars, the major good guy is Yoda, and the major bad guy is Darth Moron, I mean Darth Sidious.( With minors like Obi and Mace or Dooku and Vader) Another thing is that the bad guy is always hungry for power, always willing to risk the lives of everyone for personal gain. Sidious lost all of his apprentices because he was ready for Vader, and he didn't care if it meant that the others would lose their lives. The War on Terrorism reminds me alot of the Clone Wars, because it was such a dark time in SW, and many good people lost their lives. You can decide who the good and the bad guys are. I'm not here to push that I love Bush and not Kerry, or that I would rather vote Republican in most cases, but rather to share my love of SW with my fellow fans.
