If nobody hears a tree fall in the forest - does it make a sound?

The deep mysteries of life. . .
Okay here's my warning: Compared to my last blog this one is kinda. . . silly:)

But as I was getting ready today I was thinking how a close friend of mine told me to not go all "tin man" meaning kinda distant. I was thinking how to make that into Star Wars. "Don't go all Droideka on me." Or "Don't go all 3-PO on me." That one doesn't work because he was so - ah - emotional. :^O Or even "Don't go all Super Battle Droid on me." Yeah. I was having a ball. . .:) Then I was struck with an odd thought. In just about every other sci-fi series, the robots wind up staging a revolt because humans are so messed up and they alone can "fix it." But in Star Wars that never happened! We've had entire species gone awry, wayward Jedi, Sith, manipulative politicians, and even the clones rebelled a few times! Granted I know that there have been a few droids who don't fit the standard, but those are in the extreme minority. The millions of droids that span the galaxy (or even a single planet) never took the initiative and caused a galactic crisis (or a planetary one) that the citizens had to unite to overcome and thus better themselves as a society and blah, blah, blah. . .:D

So I pose this question to you; the reader. Why are the "robots" or "droids" in Star Wars so - good? :D Have fun with it!
