Star Wars: A Dying Legacy?
For thirty years, Star Wars has been a revolutionary legend, filling people with awe, excitement, sorrow, etc. It has gone through countless revisions, and recently a second trilogy has been added to the saga- the prequels. Due to the constant bashing of the latest films, the love for Star Wars seems to have dropped. The lack of faith in the prequels has brought a lack of faith to everything that has the famous "STAR WARS" logo, and so now Star Wars seems like nothing but an odd, average science-fiction film series with a large cult of fans who don't have lives.

The fact that there is a Star Wars religion in the UK doesn't help.

So what are we, as Star Wars fans, supposed to do? Watch non-Star Wars fans roll their eyes as yet another near-definite DVD release of the films approaches? Pretend not to care as, when you ask someone if they like Star Wars, they reply with "I've never seen it.", or "Yeah, I know that there are Jedi in it and... what is it, Sits?" (both of which happened to me)? Or should we try to promote it more, watching the films (or at least A New Hope) with friends? This is only my view on Star Wars' current position in the world, but I do indeed feel that Star Wars is falling to the Dark Side.
