Celebration V????
I'm not sure if this information is totally accurate, but when I was waiting for my flight in LAX Tuesday, a guy from GenCon came up to me and was talking about Celebration IV (I was wearing my CIV T-shirt) He was asking me how my stay was, what I liked, what I didn't like and what exclusives I got.

After a bit of talking and sharing stories, he told me that there are plans to have a Celebration V in 2009 and he said it would be held in Los Angeles again.

This could have been a bunch of bull, but it seemed real considering the questions he was asking me about my stay, what I liked, and did not like blah blah blah. It was not a bragging session on who saw more and what more stuff, but rather a census type of conversation.

Anyway, I thought I'd share that and see if anyone else got wind of the same news.

I feel there will continue to be Celebrations. They are too big a hit to not continue. I still feel it should be back in Indy or somewhere centrally located.

I agree that they should move the location around. It's only fair for everyone in the country to do that. Regardless of where in the US it's at, I'm so there LOL

I'm pretty sure there would be a CV. That would be great if it were 2009. Gives me plenty of time to prepare, but it is too long a wait at the same time. After hearing all the CIV stories, I am determined to go to the next one. 2010 might be even better though- 30th anniversary of TESB!

I'll be checking the Gencon site and of course, hopefully sw.com will post any news!

I heard the same thing. I also heard they have a three convention deal with the LACC for 2009 and 2011.

Even though LA is closer for me, I think it would be better if it was more centralized for those on the East coast to have a better chance of going. But, I guess we can start saving now.

With the price of airfare these days they should hold one on both coasts. I live in the Bay Area and wont travel further that Colorado if there is another one.
