I was at a local Toys R'us yesterday, and there I saw a Darth Vader life-sized standee. The unusual thing about it was that he was holding a purple bladed lightsaber. I looked closer at it to see if it was an officially licensed item.

At the bottom was a Star Wars font logo, and it was copyrighted 1996 to Lucasfilm, which is before the SE release of the OT, way before Lucas decree that Mace Windu be the wielder of the only purple lightsaber in the galaxy. But anyway, all in all, this particular standee has got to be one of the weirdest SW item I have ever come across. Me thinks it was probably an error due to the printers.
