New Jar Jar video footage

Ever since the Revenge of the Sith DVD, I thought we would never ever see any more new footage of the CG Jar Jar Binks as he appears in the movies. But here on starwars.com, there is such a video:

There's no mention of Jar Jar on that page, but I really do think that the new Jar Jar footage is the best and most significant part of the entire video. The OS really should have mentioned him. There are more Jar Jar fans out there than most people realize. (Just listen to the audience as they cheer upon his appearance)

I like Jar Jar. I actually do find him funny, and this clip showcases how great a comedic character he is. It's the best and most surprising clip I've seen on the internet this whole year. Heck, it's probably my favorite item which starwars.com has posted this year, HS content or not.

One thing I'm wondering though, who provided the voice? Most probably Ahmed Best, 'cause he sounds exactly the same as in the movies.

date Posted: Oct 13, 2006 8:34 AM I liked that clip to. The use of Jar Jar was great. People should cut him some more slack. Also, I'm pretty sure it was Ahmed Best who did the voice. Who else could pull it off?

date Posted: Oct 13, 2006 9:46 AM Yea that was a funny clip. And Jar Jar was perfect for it, and even able to laugh at himself with the "Who'sa speaka like that'a?" line...LOL. I think the problem MOST fans had with Jar Jar was: He was a FUNNY character in a film most people didnt WANT to be FUNNY.
