The Real Sev
In the Republic Commando video game, there's a commando character named "Sev." He's the sniper of the bunch, with an icy-cool demeanor and a deadly shot. Many fans of the game enjoyed his particular brand of sociopathic sarcasm.

Shortly before I left LucasArts in March, I had the honor of meeting the real Sev, a Navy SEAL, who was nothing like his namesake, except in that he was a dedicated and talented professional.

The real Sev shook my hand and thanked me for making such a great game. I replied with gratitude from the whole team. One of the highest forms of praise we get is hearing back from guys and gals in the military-- because they'll sniff out a fake in a second. To have Sev's approval pf the game was something special.

He then told me how he'd been down at ILM, doing motion capture for the clones (especially the Utapau invasion). I was stoked to know the guy responsible for all those wicked clone attacks!

Now I note that Bonnie Burton's just added an entry to the Kessel Mines about the ROTS DVD commentary-- and Sev gets a shout-out from Animation Director Rob Coleman!!! Go Sev!!

So when you get your ROTS DVD in November, make sure you watch that Utapau invasion real close and see the man in action!

Thanks again, Sev.
