In my last "force" blog I reached the conclusion that there is a light and darkside(to find out how, plz read it). But in this new installment I would liek to further discuss the main topic. Energy or deity? A fellow blogger made this statement in my last blog.

"Also, according to George Lucas the "tool" that the Jedi use to do their "magic" is the Living Force while there is the Cosmic Force(also known as the Unifying Force) that sets a persons destiny etc. If we were to get into religious/spiritual cosmology... the Unifying Force would be higher in the cosmic heirarchy than would the Living Force. -SlaveOfTheForce"

I thought thid made extremely good sense, and after hearing that I do recal hearing that answer somewhere else. Now if there is the "living force" which is more like a deity that has a will, then that explains the whole "will of the force" statements made in SW. Then there is the "cosmic force" which "gives a jedi his power". Then I would(based on the observations made in my last blog entry) assume that that means the cosmic force has 2 sides to it. Hence Light and Dark!

Another reason me and my friend came up with today while debating this topic was that in the trilogys and the EU different emotions(or lack there of) are used to harness the "cosmic force". Example: Calm mind, no anger, and an open mind are used to access the LIGHT side. But in contrary, ager, fear, aggression, and hate are used when drawing upon the DARK side. What does this mean???

This could mean one of 2 things...

One: Those are just different techniques used when drawing upon the force, but both turn up results. Or......

Two: There is a two sided "cosmic force". Which can only be drawn upon in certain ways.

In the end we have a "two part force" (cosmic and living), and a two sided cosmic (light and dark).

Well that about sums up that debate. Questions? Opinions? Ideas? Plz share!
