So, I'm sitting at work at the airport. Nothing going on, nothing to do so two of my coworkers and I are shooting the breeze. We discuss topics of various interest; politics, technology, and other aspects of life at times but this particular conversation got me fired up. We started discussing movies and starting to name drop actors when one of my co-workers happened to mention that Lorne Greene was in Star Wars. Started spouting lines from Star Wars like he knew what he was talking about. Then decided to argue with me for 10 minutes straight that he was adamant that Lorne Greene was in Star Wars. Upon refuting him NUMEROUS times that the late, Lorne Greene was in Battlestar Galactica and that it was the late, Sir Alec Guinness in Star Wars, he was not convinced and proclaimed that he would take it as a bet. So, to show his ignorance on the subject matter, I calmly agreed to bet him a whole paycheck. To which he retracted his hand and proclaimed he wasn't a betting man and wanted me to prove that he was wrong. Stating one that I was not old enough to see the first film and that I couldn't possibly know what I was talking about...blah...blah...blah.
Now, like any SW fan I have made the concerted effort to enslave myself to Lucas. I have marathoned numerous times with the OT and the completion of both trilogies. I have bought up any figure I feel I can get my hands on and naturally post on this board. I even have in plain sight,
The Unseen Queen on my desk for the late night reading when my shift gets boring.
Naturally, I did what any movie buff would do and head onto the IMDB to prove him wrong. Upon eating his crow, he retracted his bet and since we didn't shake on it....
well, I could've used that extra Christmas shopping money.
