I'm not familiar with the easter egg your reference.

I thought the droids in Episode III took away Obi-wan's lightsaber, and then Obi-wan just used the force to get it back.

The droids did take it away, the droid handed them to Greivous and then said "You're welcome".

Interesting theory... except that didn't Obi-Wan use his Episode I lightsaber in AOTC?

um first of all what the crap is the easter egg thing about, second of all everything he said besides the easter egg thing makes sense. in episode 1 maul kicks obi-wans lightsaber down into what i think was some type of reactor core or generator core i forget its been a while since i read about it. in episode 2 we see him with a different lightsaber although it looks the same it isnt obi-wan made this in the ten years between 1 and 2 making it identical to his first. also in episode 3 he has a different lightsaber because the one he had was taken away from him by the droids in aotc.

although im not sure if i did see obi-wans lightsaber in grevious' cloak which means commandercody9 is wrong but im also to lazy to plug in the movie to see so if someone checks and u see obi-wans lightsaber from ep. 2 hes right if not hes wrong.

First of all I'm talking about the lightsaber in ep 2 obi had when he was fighting jango fett...he brought that lightsaber with him to geonosis where in was taken away by the seps when he was captured....at the same time grievous had just been created in his cyborg form....Since he needed a weapon he was probably given obi's saber. Second of all where you see obis lightsaber on grievous is not on the invisible hand in his cloak. I'm talking about on utapau when obi and the general fight. At the start of the battle you can clearly see obi's saber in grievous's hand.
