Wow!
well, heres a special fact about me i bet you guys didn't know......i like to read:O-i know, big shock. And i have finnally found a book/seires i actually said " wow! this is good!" (star wars books excluded, obviosly, particularly the X-wing seires)

The book is called Enders game and it's by Mr. Orson Scott Card(this guy is good, let me tell you) in the book, there is a war on earth against an alien species called the Formics(or, "buggers") and so the military recrutes little kids ( 5-7 years of age or so) to beat them. i know, weird. The main thing of this book follows a kid named ender, who is smart well beyond his years, and thus turns the teachers-and kids-and plainly, the entire universe-around for one heck of a ride.

If you like wars, little kids kickin' butt, aliens, humor, or just basically a good sci-fi/ military read i suggest this book.Words from the somewhat-wise-person,however-this book has some.......language,in it, so to speak.kids about 12 and younger might want to ask permission first ( i had to).

couple more things- this won both the hugo and the nebula awards, if you read books that are awarded. Also, this book has been around a while.....since 1977....doesnt that sound familiar *cough*episode IV*cough*
theres a whole series or two that follows this book if you like it.
well, thats it. hope i didnt bore anyone to sleep/death. this is youngling signing off. Happy reading and may the force be with you!

P.S. don't ask about the picture..... for your own good, and for mine, please don't

Ender's Game is a great read. I go to Bridgewater State College and about a year ago Mr. Card spoke at a dream conference hosted by the campus. He had some really interesting things to say and I got my copy of his book signed.

Keep reading if you like it. Nothing's better (imo) than finding an enthralling book series OUTSIDE of the GFFA.

I love that book! I just re-read it again this summer. I've never read the sequels, but I've heard they're just as good.

Don't you just end up feeling for Ender and hating the people who control him, yet at the same time you know they're doing it to save the world so it brings up such conflicting emotions within you.

Good choice of a book.

Yeah Enders Game is worth that read for any sci-fan in my opinion.

Look into the Stars My Destination - another Hugo award winner I really love.
