Boba Fett and the end of Solo's Vibroaxe
So why does Boba Fett go out like a Slap Stick Episode of the Stooges..Almost accidently.. Sputtering into the Sarlacc Pit

Most of the Star Wars Villians have been amazing characters... They die awesome deaths in incredible duels..In Blaze of Glory in Grievous's case.
So why does Boba Fett meet the his glorious end at the hands of Blind Han's vibroaxe handle.

The notorious Bounty Hunter, Boba Fett..
A faceless enforcer, Boba Fett's distinctive armor strikes fear in the hearts of fugitives. He is a legendary bounty hunter, accepting warrants from both the Empire and the criminal underworld. He is all business, laconic, and deadly.
During the time of the Empire, Boba Fett emerged as the preeminent bounty hunter of the galaxy. Boba Fett's armor, like his father's, is a battered weapon-covered spacesuit equipped with a rocketpack. His gauntlets contain a flamethrower, and a whipcord lanyard launcher. His kneepads conceal rocket dart launchers. Several ominous braids hang from his shoulder -- trophies from fallen prey -- that underscore this hunter's lethality.

Solo, free of the carbonite and suffering blindness from hibernation sickness, wildly swung a vibro-ax into an inattentive Fett's rocketpack. The pack activated, and the bounty hunter soared into the air, out of control. The airborne Fett slammed into the side of Jabba's sail barge before tumbling into the Sarlacc's mouth. With a sickly belch from the desert creature, it seemed as if Fett's career as the galaxy's most notorious bounty hunter was brought to an end.

I know BF survives the Sarlacc...
Fett's armor and body were extremely battered by his ordeal in the Sarlacc. When he plunged into the beast, he was kept alive by numerous fibrous suckers that attached themselves to his body. This was part of the Sarlacc's horrible metabolic process; it would keep its prey alive for thousands of years, all the while slowly feeding off it. Fett almost lost his identity in the swirling dementia brought about by the Sarlacc's toxins. His resolve held, and he used his weapons to blast free of the beast.

Naked, wounded, and defenseless on the sands of Tatooine, Fett was rescued by his fellow hunter Dengar, who nursed him back to health. Fett reclaimed his armor and his reputation, returning from the "dead," and again taking on bounties.

Jango Fett met his end in a duel with Jedi Master Windu.. When he dies it feels like a dagger through the heart..
Maul ends with an Epic Lightsaber Duel.
Anakin ends with an Epic Lightsaber Duel..
Qui Gon ends with an Epic Lightsaber Duel..
Mace ends with an Epic Lightsaber Duel..

I think Boba Fett had the edge on Luke Skywalker until the swing of the axe sets his rocketpack off.
When Boba Fett sputters down into the Pit..It is almost comical.. Ahhhhh!
What do you guys think?
Boba Fett deserves Better..

Blog on this, Sarlacc...

Hmm...

But his story goes on. The adventures he has after the close brush with death he had in the Sarlacc Pit kind of makes up for it. I think Boba falling into the pit so easily is another SW reminder that no matter how bad or cool a character is, he or she is still mortal. The strongest warrior can be brought down by a random bullet. I am happy that he didn't die in there, but even if he did, it would only have been realistic.

God Bless,

May the Force grant you wisdom...

Yeah that is my point..
The Battle of Hastings 1066.. Harold
As the Norman infantry and cavalry closed yet again, Harold received a mortal wound. Traditionally he is believed to have been pierced through the eye by an arrow (through interpretation of the Bayeux Tapestry). But The Carmen de Hastingae Proelio describes how Harold was cut to pieces by Norman knights led by William himself: and the Bayeux Tapestry shows him being cut down by a Norman knight, thus agreeing with The Carmen. It is possible that both versions of Harold's end are true: he was first wounded in the face by an arrow, then killed by hand weapons in the final Norman assault.

Boba Fett deserved to die a Hero's Death!

Fett is dead. Long live Fett!
You mentioned Jango going out in fairly spectacular style, and you got me thinking again about his death scene. Why is it that Count Dooku looks so surprised and concerned that Jango was whacked by Mace? He was only a bounty hunter, after all - plenty more where he came from - and he was facing off against the second hardest Jedi in the galaxy. The only thing I can think of is that because the clone troopers are Jango's spawn, and they are ultimately supposed to be able to expunge the Jedi when the time comes, Dooku was worried that they wouldn't be up to it if their 'daddy' was killed so easily by a single Jedi. ?

"I think Boba Fett had the edge on Luke Skywalker until the swing of the axe sets his rocketpack off."

How do you plot that course? He got his blaster chopped in half by Luke, and if you notice, right before Han whacks him, he fires a laser from his gauntlet at Luke, and misses completely.

My first exposure to SW was ROTJ in 1983. I have to admit I think that the way Boba was so unceremoniously killed so early on in the film has probably been the reason I have had so little interest in him as a character. It seemed almost like a side note. Anyone who could be dispatched so easily wasn't worth that much notice. I am now doing my best to overcome this prejudice, however, maybe Boba does deserve a more dramatic death.

Warning!!!!!!!!!: Nothing to do about the blog!!!!!!!!!!! In BF2 Jango is way better than Boba. Note: OK, you can look now. PWEW!! I think Boba should have had a long ( for a blaster fight that is) blaster fight with Boba. Maybe about... hmmm.... 3 minutes. You know, like those western shootout wars. ;) :D
