The Hunt for Mace Windu

The way it should have gone down.. Mace Windu and his arm crash out the window of the chancellor's office.. He force controls his fall onto a balcony.. recovers and goes into hiding in the lower levels of Coruscant and goes offworld to recover himself mentally and physically. He begins to plan his revenge on the Sith teetering in and out of the darkside.
On the other side of the Galaxy a young Mando named Boba Fett has learned of Mace's recovery and is planning to redeem of his father.
The hunt would be grand in scope, each side trading taking substantial damage and collateral damage on all sides..
Will the Sith be involved in Boba Fett's hunt? Will Boba Fett kill him quickly or haunt him with every attack and slowly demoralizing him until he begs for a merciful death? or will he redeem his father with a quick blast to the head? or a flame thrower?
Mace loses allies, Boba Fett loses allies.. Mace loses his life.. Boba Fett begins his career as a Bounty Hunter abd the Jedi slide one step closer to vanquishment.. (Will Vader witness the disentegration of Mace?)

I always believed they (referring to anyone, comic, Lucasbooks...etc. ) should make a little maybe even One-Shot or Infinities tale about how Mace survived and went on to battle the Empire.

Plus everywhere I've looked for insight into the concept (Message Boards, Blogs...etc again.) has suggested Boba being a good villain if ever such a concept came along.

I mean I was really hoping for a Mace V. Boba scene in Ep. III, and in The Art of Revenge of the Sith, apparently there was one at least concept-arted, something about the kid actor not being canonically old enough...

Oh well, maybe someday...

date Posted: May 12, 2006 1:00 PM Nice! That sounds like it would make a real good book. If you're ever interested in making a book, i'd take that idea and put it on paper!

date Posted: May 12, 2006 1:42 PM It would be cool if they brought Mace back for a proper showdown with Boba. I mean, that just screams karma to me.

date Posted: May 12, 2006 1:44 PM I love it. I never liked the idea of Mace dying by getting thrown out a window. This sounds like a great story. I would diffinently read it. Sounds little it would make a good four part series for a comic book. Maybe you should run this idea by George and see if he likes it.

date Posted: May 12, 2006 2:00 PM Actually it would be better to put it in the live action tv show, Windu is my favorite character so loosing to Boba seems kinda dumb considering what Mace did to Jango, common, but that would make for one heck of a show, but have Windu kill Boba and have a line "like father like son" or "you should have learned from your fathers mistake" then slice him.

date Posted: May 12, 2006 2:04 PM Before Episode 3 came out my nephew and I thought that Boba would be the one to kill Mace by disentagration, thus giving us a visual to go with Vader's comment in ESB.

I would love to see Mace Windu evade the bounty hunters, sith, and Order 66 and the clones, assassains, bounty hunters, a garrison of the 501st and ulitmately a confrontation similar to Luke's with Darth Vader.. Join me or die..
Only to end up in the hands of the Boba Fett..
While Boba Fett fights his own battle with the other bounty hunters and galactic empire clones.. just to have his prize.. Mace.

Even if he had one arm (unless he got a mechanical arm). 1st off Boba would be goin agaist a master jedi and one of the strongest. 2nd blasters are worthless agaist lightsabers. and ace could like throw his saber and like impale it through boba torso from a distance!

My version is where he goes into hiding for 20 years, evading any confrontations, he gets visits from Qui Gon's ghost and he learns this imortallity path. Then, around the Battle of Yavin, he, for some reason, feels his time to return has come. Maybe it was he who helped the Rebels get the Death Star's plans... And when Luke reestablishes the Jedi Order, Mace becomes the wise old Jedi figure like Yoda was in the old days. Maybe the whole bounty hunter thing was just a one time ordeal for him...

date Posted: May 15, 2006 6:26 PM Great blog !! I like Jedijay493 idea of Mace coming out of hiding and helping out the new Jedi Order. I don't like the idea of him being killed by Boba Fett. Either way, this would be a great story to read or see on T.V. like in the "Clone Wars" cartoon.
