This weapon is your life!

Have you ever noticed...the lightsaber is a reflection of the character that holds it..?
Obi Wan Takes Anakin's lightsaber and the end of the duel and later gives it to Luke..

Anakin Skywalker, Qui Gon Jinn, Yoda, and Obi Wan Kenobi have plain jane no frills lightsabers..a reflection of the Jedi Way..Stewards, Trustees..

Mace Windu, Maul, Dooku, and Sidious have stylish lightsabers.. a reflection of Sith Way.. Self Serving, assassins,

The lightsaber... This weapon is your life! They way they hold and wield the saber reflects how their inner selfs truly are..!

date Posted: May 22, 2006 10:22 PM Mace's lightsaber is purple, and it is quite the controversy here at the blogs... I have heard that his lightsaber also has "BMF" (for "Bad Mutha' F***er) engraved on it.

i think shatter point by matt stover sums it up best i cant remember it exactly but it runs something like

"a jedis lightsaber is not the weapon he holds in his hands, this is just the physical embodyment of the lightsaber in his heart and mind that grows and changes as he does (which is why jedi sometimes rebuild there sabers as mace did between ep I and II) so a lightsaber is after it has been charged for the first time not only an extension of the jedi but a complet encapsulation of the jedi and his personality at that time.

hence mace carries the weapon of a leader easy to spot on the battle field its very form screeming his satus as a master and a man to be followed,

anakin builds a powerful lightsaber with chunky handle,

kenobies is built for precision and unadorned signaling his humble nature (he doesnt realise he is the best the clone wars jedi have to offer)

vaders saber is simmilar to anakins above but rebuilt not just to be powerful but to intimidate red blade darker handle more solidly built than average (very much a wapon for kill ing people rather than a work of art like Jins which was more art that could be used to kill)
