Skilled in the Jedi Arts vs Jedi and Sith Force Users
Jedi Arts and Sith Arts..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lightsaber_combat

All you ever wanted to know and more about lightsaber and non lightsaber combat of the Jedi and Sith..

My question is.. If a lightsaber user who is neither a Jedi or Sith Force User is engaged in a lightsaber battle how effective or effecient can they be.

The Case Study is General Grievous..
He is half alien/half cyborg.. He serves the Sith, He is trained by Count Dooku in the Jedi Arts of Lightsaber combat. We know his favorite trophies are the lightsabers of the defeated Jedi. I know some of the Jedi were Padawans, and Knights.. Grievous really gives Anakin and Obi Wan Kenobi a challenge. But the force user usually gains the upper hand by tapping into the force for strength and power to gain the upper hand.
On pure lightsaber skills alone..
EP 1.Obi Wan Kenobi and Qui Gon vs Darth Maul.. Maul is incredibly combating a Jedi Master and his Padwan and kills the master. Obi Wan "taps in" to win the duel.
EP 2. Anakin and Obi Wan take on count Dooku and lose.. But Dooku succumbs to Yoda.
EP 3. Ani and Obi take on Dooku..Obi gets taken out..Dooku gets taken out.. Obi and Ani take on GG.. GG flees.. GG takes on Obi and gets taken out.. Sidi takes on 4 Jedi Masters and prevails.. Sidi takes on Yoda.. Stalemate..but Yoda has and emotional defeat.. Ani and Co. take on Jedi Temple and prevail.. Ani and Obi fight Obi prevails.. BUT does does Obi use the Force? or common lightsaber strategy and tactics.. "Having the High Ground" is basic in lightsaber combat or any type of engagement..Isn't it common sense?
Basics in Jedi Arts vs. Force User.. Doesn't the basic style win?
What are your thoughts..??
Can a non force user defeat a force user in lightsaber combat? Nine times out of ten..yes.. If they ignore the rules of engagement 10 out of 10..
Thanks,
