The Star Wars Saga is the most successful movie and franchise of the 20 and 21st century. (so far). Although it doesn't include sex or vulgarity.
Now with today's audience.. We have BattleStar Galactica, (Some) Star Trek, and Firefly (Serenity) all very popular shows, but geared for an adult audience.
Star Wars has tasteful scence and has sexy characters and the implication of sex..and we know there at one point had been sex.. Does it help or hurt the movie.. As the Star Wars audience matures do they want to see Star Wars have edgier and sexier scenes and characters..
Star Wars and GL are brilliant in the way you can project as much or as little "sexy" or sex into the characters or scenes as..
Star Wars broke the Hollywood molds mostly by challenging of the stereo types, gender roles, taboos, and prejudices of the 70's, 80's and 90's and 2000's.. Where are the sexual boundaries? Do Star Wars need to go there? Do audiences want sex or more sexy in Star Wars?
Although, if you include love triangles, incest, feminine droids (c3p0) and wookie loving..SW was ahead of its time..
Does Star Wars (TV) or SW books need more sex elements? I mean the implications of sex are there.. But will we see it on screen or in print?
What exactly does Ben do on Tatooine for 20 years?
What are your thoughts?
Thanks,
