The Jedi's New Clothes

Here is one.. for the Fashion Troopers...
Okay, Luke Skywalker.. Jedi Master..but dresses on the Dark Side..

I have a general question. Now that the Saga is Complete. Watching Ep 1-6
Following Luke's progress and status.. the color of the wardrobe changes throughout the movies..
As we know.. Prequel Jedi in the Pre Order 66 mostly don the Brown, Creme, or Earth Colored robes..(exception the Skywalker family)
Anakin goes from the Brown, to a purple, to a red and black..
Sith Colors you may say..
The Emperor is dressed in black, Maul in black (red face), Assajj in black and white, Now Dooku is an inbetween color.. and Vader is in black..

Luke goes from wearing white, to orange, to brown, to brown and black, to black..

So, If he is wearing black..in ROTJ.. As he goes into the Confrontation with the Emperor and Vader.. How close was Luke from switching to Sith or the Dark Side.than staying on the Jedi path?
It almost seems Luke didn't know himself until the middle of the confrontation with Vader.

EU fans of Dark Empire know Luke hadn't fully recovered mentally from the Emperor and Vader and was open and mingled on the dark side and open to the entrapments of the Clone Emperor..:0
any thoughts..

date Posted: Aug 24, 2005 2:34 PM If you watch the begining of Return of the Jedi Luke "chokes" the pig guards. That choking power is only on the dark side. So Luke is'nt a full Jedi. If it helps there are technically three different kinds of "jedi" Jedi - Yoda, Obi-Wan, Mace Dark Jedi (or Neutral Jedi)- Luke Sith - Maul, Dooku, Vader

date Posted: Aug 24, 2005 3:00 PM I think that at the beginning of ROTJ Luke doesn't yet realise that Force-choking is a no-no. (I'm also not sure that Lucas ever thought of it as being strictly bad when the movie was made.) Also, I think that Lucas had him in black to visually kind of keep the audience guessing as to whether Luke would stay good or go bad.
