 | Boba Fett and Han Solo in Revenge of the Sith |
One of my expectations I had going into reading and viewing Revenge of the Sith was being introduced to OT Saga characters such as Han Solo, Boba Fett, and more Darth Vader (Black Suit) with the red lightsaber..
I loved Revenge of the Sith as a stand alone movie and the part in the whole the ROTS plays in the SAGA.
In EP 2 you have Jango Fett and Boba Fett. I thought surely ROTS would have a hint of Boba Fett or a deleted scene of Count Dooku and Grievous collaborating with him..something..an easter egg..
Han or Han's dad or uncle could have been on Kashyyyk during the droid invasion and post order 66 betrayal.. Instead we get a Yoda and Chewy piggy back ride, which don't get me wrong..was awesome..
Quinlan Vos at least gets mentioned..
Were there characters beyond the scope of ROTS that you would have liked to have seen?
Thanks,
Chris

What use do they have for a 13 year old?
You basically mention the only 2 characters we don't see... Because they were too young.
We see Vader, Palpatine, R2, C3PO, Obi-Wan, Luke and Leia (Again, too young for any real intro), even Chewie...
I suppose you could have thrown in Lando and Han as like 10 year olds playing Sabacc somewhere... But I don't think it's necessary, we meet them all in due time.

After AOTC, I was sure that Boba Fett would be in Episode III. I knew he would in some way, shape or form he would kill Mace Windu. But after the trailer and all the buzz about ROTS came about I noticed Boba probably wouldn't become a part of the final movie. It was a little upsetting, but we got to see Palpatine kill Mace, so all is fair.
As far as Han, I knew he wouldn't be in it, because he didn't really have a significance to the Prequels. I would have loved to see him and I was surprised to find out in the Making of ROTS book that George Lucas planned to put him in the film, but decided against it.

I wanted to see Han Solo, too. At one time I heard that Episode III would take us to Luke and Leia being three-years-old. I figure Han is five to ten years older than them. I've always thought it would be a neat story to have Han and Leia come across each other as children. My theory is that Han Solo was a Corellia prince, not the orphan that has been written about in books. I think Han rebelled from his pampered life and sought adventure.

I could have used a little bit more Aayla and have said it before I would love to see a bit more temple action. Vader vs. Drallig and Shaak-ti's demise would have been awesome. Boba should have been it to and I agree had something to do with Windu. As for Han totally unnecessary to the story at that time. Han a prince? Somebody watched spaceballs too many times. Kidding.

In my "Making of the Revenge of the Sith book" it actualy said that they would have had Han Solo be a character on Kashyyk as a ten- year old.

For Boba, check his Young Reader series...
Tyranus wanna kill Boba because he understand Dooku = Tyranus
and Dooku is double-crossing the Republic (He actually told this
to Palpatine)
For Han, no, now we dont have any canonical source of Han Solo
around the time of ROTS

I Agree about the Boba Fett part
I mean, like was said earlier, Mace killed his dad, so why didn't Boba find a way to blow Mace up or somethin'? It could've also shown how Boba becomes the foremost Bounty hunter in the galaxy, after killing a Jedi an all...
And what about that youngling jedi that wipped several clonetrooper's backsides before the eyes of Bail Organa? It would've been cool to see more younglings fighting back, only to meet their sorry end after a good fight.
As for Han, however, I don't think the Corellian prince idea is very worth it, and a 10 yr old Han Solo with a heavy repeating blaster would just have made me split with laughter...
Someone's been on da spacecookies again...

Yeah I also was a little disappointed not to see Han or Lando or Boba in Ep 3. It would have been really cool. At least you get to see the Falcon though. I think the new TV series that GL is doing is supposed link Ep3 to Ep4. So we should get all the answers we need from that. It should tie the two together nicely.

Boba Fett VS Mace Windu in Boba Fett (Young Reader) #6 Pursuit.
Mace Windu defeated + disarmed Boba fair and square
(Fett put up a good fight, of course)
Palpatine step in and save Boba's life.
Listening to Boba's secret info, and reveal that he knew already

Another question I want to ask is: did Darth Vader meet Greedo? In the Ep. I deleted scenes, you see Greedo and Anikin fighting in the streets in Mos Espa (over something I forget), but if they saw each other like when Vader maybe hired Greedo as a bounty hunter, what would they say? Would they remember each other? Hmmmmm.
