Hey everyone! It's your favorite little freshman, MJM here for another fun time blogging.
well, for starters today was my first day at CHS, as the title explains. It was a blast. There is a freshman center built just for us so we don't have to really enter the main building with all the mean seniors. We had these guides that are students at the shcool called GKOM'sor Greyhound Kickoff Menstors. They were helpfull and very nice. We got T-shirt's, water bottles and one of those mountain climibing clip things with Class of 2010 on it. We learned the Class of '10 dance which was fun. It was just all around entertaining. And now, my first crack at a serious blog. I can't promise that it'll be good, but I am trying my best.
As you probably have guessed by now, I love clone troopers. They just fasinate me. I don't know why they do, it's just something about them. I think it has something to do with how perfectly Karen Traviss presents them in the Republic Commando books. But still, I loved them long before that. What is it about them. So here, on this blog, I'm going to explore what makes me love Clone trooper so much...
1.
Their sense of unity. What is my favorite scene that I've ever read in a book. Is it the end of LOTR. No it's inspirational and, I'll say it, heart warming, but that's not it. Is it Harry fighting Voldemort in HP4. No, it's is again inspiring, but not quite what I'm looking for here.
Ah, yes. Here it is. Republic Commando: Triple Zero. Chapter 5, page 114. For those of you who don't own this book I'll explain.
With a little instruction from Scorch and Fi, all the men of the 41st battalion, the crew of the
Fearless and Omega and Delta squad's are singing Dhan Werda Verda, a Mandolorian battle chant. It involves all of them singing and beating on their armor to the beat then turning to beat on their neighbors armor. As stated in the book, if one man get's even slightly off beat, he could easily break his neighbors jaw. But none of them are thinking of that. All they are thinking off is the brotherhood they feel, the fun they are having and the heritage they are honoring. Even though they've been bred to kill since day one they still find time to form bonds that will never break. Even in death their bond will not dissapear. I've always belived the if a husband of wife dies it dosn't mean your not married to them any more. There just in another place that's far away. That's all. They arn't gone, they've just left for a bit. You'll see them again. I think the clone's feel they same way about their lost brothers in arms. They'll always be brother's no matter what. I really love that.
2.
Their loyalty. Clones must obey order's. They were taught that from day one. They will always follow order's. But sometimes I don't think it's because they've been programmed that way. It's because they have grown to love and respect the generals they are with.
Take Etain for instance. She's small girl who dosn't look like she belongs any wher near an army, yet she command's one. Clanky or Gett could easily just ignore her or pretend to take her order for real. But they don't for one reason, and it's not because they were trained to obey without question. It's because she cares about what happens to them a worries about them, and for that they respect her. They are absolutly loyal to her. They would never stray from her command and they would never pretend to take her order's. I mean, she is a good general and all, don't get me wrong. She makes very wise desicion's. But I don't think clones would take order's from a littl girl who look's more raggedy than a wet bantha unless they utterly respected her.

Their bravery Picture this,
Your on the beaches of Kashyyyk, Wookie's to the left, your brother to the right. Suddenly you hear noises, something is moving through the water. You pull out your binoc's and look out in the direction of the noise. All you see is a line a droid tanks coming towards you. There's an army of battle droids riding on them and you can see spider droid's sinking underneath the water to sneek up on you. You feel frozen with fear. You get the order that Yoda is giving you permission to fire back. You put down the binoc's and lift up your DC-15, looking out at the tank's. They begin to fire and you fire back. You see wookie's being blow away all around you, but you remain and keep firing. Droid after droid fall's to the bolt's of blue lightning pouring from your rifle. You take a hit to the shoulder but you shake it off, it's nothing serious, just a nuisance. You continue to fire. You hear your commander over the helmet comm telling you to pull back behing the sea wall. You slowly walk backward's, firing as you go. Eventually, the droid's breach the sea wall, but you fight your way free. You here report's that one of the Delta's may have fallen at Kachiro. The fact that a Commando was brought down scares you, they were the elite, weren't they? But you still keep fighting. You charge across the beach, now down to your sidearm, firing at enemies as catamaran's fly over your head and tanks engage tanks. You run right at a droideka in your way and bowl him over, knocking out his sheild before shooting him. You charge at the enemy ahead of you, they have your brothers pinned down and you need to save them. You charge at them, completely out of ammo now, hitting them with pistol, punching and kicking them. Your brother manage the get past them in the distraction. One of them tosses you his sidearm and you continue to run and fight, dispite the fact that you have now also been shot through the knee as well. Suddenly you see that the droids are retreating, but none of them make it out as snipers pick them off one by one. You and your brother head back to the main command post and wait to be airlifted or planet. They all thank you for saving them, dispite the overwhellming odd's. As your airlifted off the planet the thought of the three hours R and R you've been promised sounds like heaven. 'Nuff said I think.
Sorry this was so long, but it's been going through my head all day.
