Lately, I havn't been the Star Wars fan I usually am. Usually, most of my time is spent here, pouring over blogs and writting my own. If I'm not here them I'm on wookieepedia, looking up everything I can, trying to learn all there is to know about Star Wars. I drawn little SW pictures in the margins of my homework paper and sometime my teachers comment on them. But lately something else has been front and center in my brain. Not that I don't find SW interesting anymore, I'm still one of the biggest nerds you'll ever meet, but something else has been the topic of discussion between me and my friends lately. Usually we all talk about Star Wars as passersby make fun of us. But lately, a new subject has come up, a subject some of you might have noticed me talking about lately. That subject, my friends, is Halo. * gasp *
Now, I know it's okay for us fan's to like other things. But this Halo is starting to rise up and stand along side SW as one of my favorite sci-fi stories of all time. I'm exactly sure what it is about Halo, is it the action? Is it the blood and gore ( we teenage boys LOVE that stuff )? Is it the engaging story? Is it the awesome graphics? It could be any number of things, but for some reason I've become a Halo nut. I remeber thinking there wasn't that much you could learn about the Halo-verse when I first got into it, but I was so wrong. I also recall thinking the same thing about Star Wars right before ROTS and look how wrong I was. The sad thing is I don't even own an Xbox and have only played Halo few times at a friends house.
I intially got into Halo back in October of 2004 when an article about it in Electronic Gaming Monthly came out. I played through Halo 1 at a friends house in the course of a day and I was hooked. Then for a year I was all about Star Wars. Now, just recently, Halo 3 was announced. and I became crazy excited. Then about a day or two after that, my friend showed me the Halo Wars trailer. After that I was lost to Halo. Now don't worry, most likely Star Wars and Halo will now always stay equals in my mind, but I'm not going to neglect Star Wars. Peace and...

P.S. Is anyone else here a Halo fan? Do you collect any Halo things, such as the books and the action figures? I have two figures, a Warthog and three books. I plan on expanding that collection this Christmas.
