I don't know if any of you watch a T.V. show called Naruto, but those of you that do will know what I'm talking about. Naruto is a Japenese anime brought to America that I usually watch every Staurday night( It's on in an hour!!!!!). It's is a story about three ninja, Naruto( a blonde haired rascal ), Sasuke ( the dark, brooding guy that all the girls like ) and Sakura ( a #####y girl who LOVES Sasuke ), being tought the way of the ninja by thier teacher, Kakashi Hitake( a adult novel adicted expert ninja who likes to keep to himself ).

It's not so much that the whole show reflects Star Wars, but a particular part of the series. Later on, towards the end of the first half of the series, Sasuke, angered that he dosn't have the strength to defeat his evil brother Itachi ( who killed thier whole family when Sasuke was a young boy ), Sasuke leaves the village they live in to go and learn to gain more power from an evil Sound Ninja named Orichimaru. Naruto and a team of ninja are sent to stop Sasuke and bring him back to the village, willingly or not. They track down Sasuke, but most of the team stay behind to fight other enemies trying to stop them from getting him. Eventually, only Naruto is left to fight his best friend and attempt to bring him back ( are you beginning to see were I'm going with this? ). The two clash but they are both very evenly matched. They both put all of their streght into trying to subdue the other, not wanting to kill each other. Naruto eventually pledges that he will " Break ( Sasukes ) arms and legs and drag him back to the village if he hast to." Sasuke challenges Naruto, saying he couldn't even scratch his ninja headband/forehead protector. In the end, Sasuke knocks Naruto out and continues on to Orichimaru, leaving his headband with Naruto and choosing not to kill him, cementing the fact the Naruto is his best friend.

This fight between two best friend very much resembles Obi-Wan and Anakin fighting on Mustafar, depsite that Naruto and Sasuke's fight is on a lake. Naruto represents Obi-Wan here and Sasuke is like Anakin, even though Naruto loses in the end. I've even seen a few people put together videos with clips of the fight along with " A Hero Falls " as seen here. I think I may just have to examine all the things I take interest in and see how many are like Star Wars. Until then...
