Face off
Okay, I'm well aware of the fact that comparing something from Star Wars to something from another series is kinda like suicide on an SW fansite, but your all reasonalbe people, so maybe you won't send the YVH's after me. I've recently been really geeting into this Japanese anime called Naruto. It's actually a really good show, and I find that I can draw a lot of comparisons between it and Star Wars. Especially at one part of the show were(SPOILERS!! TURN BACK NOW IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE THEM!!!) one of the characters named Sasuke Uchiha betrays his home and runs away to a very evil person to gain power. His best friend, the title character Naruto Uzumaki chases him down, and they fight each other to the death in the Valley of the End(please, you have to see what I'm about to do here by now). Of course, we all know what event in the SW saga this is similar to. So, in the spirit of fun, why not compare them to each other? Exactly which is the most epic fight? Which has the more brutal ending? Which one is sadder? Well, let's find out for ourselves

Anakin Skywalker v.s. Obi-Wan Kenobi
Battle ground: Mustafar minning facility

Yep, we all know this one very well. The fight that ends the third prequel, and SW's run in the movies theaters. We all also know that this fight is absolutely brutal. Afterall, it does end with Anakin two legs, an arm and a lot of skin lighter. Plus there is the whole dramatic back-drop of the flowing lava rivers and explosions. No doubt that it's an excellent fight. So lets disect it.

Fighting: Obi-Wan and Anakin fight pretty brutally here. Both know each other very well, and thier fighting styles mirror each others almost exactly. They both also have a lot riding on the outcome of this fight, so niether is bound to just go down easily.

Drama levels: Crazy high. The setting of the fight is enough to give you a headache in a dark theater(I seriously saw a lady pop like eight Tylenol when Anakin initially landed on the planet.) Plus, it's two best friend trying to kill each other, enough to tear a normal person in that situation apart.

Action: I don't really need to go that far into this one. If it was enough action to satisfy me( me, the person who thought that Rambo needed more and that Hostel wasn't bloody enough), then I think just about any other normal person would be satisfied as well.

now, on to the (brave) contender

Naruto Uzumaki v.s. Sasuke Uchiha
Battle ground: The Valley of the End(mainly on the lake)

Oh yes. It makes men cry(not me) to witness this fight. The ultimate in betrayal, followed by the ultimate in crazy ninja fighting. Both of the contenders in this fight are ninja, and both are skilled in all of the mystic ninjas arts(called jutsu in the show), and both are sure to be ready to kill.

Fighting: Well, it's another one of those friends who are more like brothers deal. Sasuke, who needs more power to kill his brother(since he killed thier entire family) decides to seek out the help of a very evil man to make him stronger. Naruto, along with a group of other ninja, chase Sasuke down in order to take him back home. When the two friends meet in the Valley of the End, the border of thier home country, the duke it out with everything they've got in an attempt to absoultely destroy each other. Isn't sweet how friends do that kinda thing?

Drama levels: This fight is actually very emotional. I'm not just talking rage and hate emotions, but both of the friends get very sad that they have to fight each other. Niether of them grew up with a faimly, and both realize that they value each other as brothers will in the midst of attempting to kill each other. Eventually, after Sasuke barely manages to knock Naruto out, he begins to cry over the fallen body of his brother, before leaving him to die. Fortunatly, Naruto's teacher gets there in time to save him. All of the rookie ninja are crushed by Sasuke's betrayal, and everyone grieves for thier friend. Like I said, I've seen a grown man cry while watching it. I've seen that happen with Obi-Wan and Anakin's fight as well, so I guess they are both just as sad.

Action: Ninjas. N-I-N-J-A-S. Fighting to the death. With all kinda of knives and throwing star, plus each of them knows very powerful ninja arts (like shooting fire and making clones of themselves). They can also walk on water and up cliff walls(another ninja trick), and that is were most of the fight takes places. It's pretty cool.

So, my friends, I leave the decision completly up to you. Post your opinion on which one is the better fight based off of what you have read(or maybe if you've seen them both. You can find the Naruto fight on YouTube), and we'll see which one the public likes the most. Until then...

May the Force be with You]:)
