SW Dreams: What could they mean? Too much of a good thing? NEVER!
Good afternoon wonderful world of Star Wars! I hope everyone is having a terrific week? If it involves Star Wars, I'm assuming that's a yes.

I am completely saturated with Star Wars and loving it! I can't remember the last time my incessant need to share my love of SW with others has been tolerated for so long. Normally by now, several someones would have told me, at varying degrees of politeness, to shut my trap or change the subject. The past week has been nothing but Star Wars, all day, every day! The last thing I remember seeing in my mind before the alarm went off this morning was an image of Anakin Skywalker glaring at me in a very intense way. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. What a way wake up!

Which reminds me of a dream my sister had...Star Wars related of course....

This occurred right before Celebration III. She dreamed that she was trying to get into the convention, but they wouldn't let her in. She had her badge, but they just would NOT let her in, no matter what. She tried back entrances, dark alleys, everything. She finally snuck in by dressing as a stormtrooper. But, once inside, they discovered her identity and kicked her out.

While fuming in the parking lot, two Darth Vaders came out and started dueling. Apparently, one decapitated the other and headed (no pun intended....well, maybe there was ;)) to his car. The victor turned out to be none other than Hayden Christensen. She went over to him and demanded to know why they wouldn't let her in.

He turned to her and started chewing her out saying it was because she wasn't a fan, didn't know anything about the movies, that she didn't even like Star Wars. Not at all daunted by the fact that he just offed a guy, my sister shouted right back at him that she DID know lots about Star Wars and that she would prove it by playing SW Trivial Pursuit with him.

Then he kissed her.

I know most of the guys on this site are probably rolling their eyes, but I thought it was hilarious. Especially since she's really not that big a fan anyway and makes fun of me every time I talk about dressing up. I think subconsciously she feels guilty and realizes she needs to be a bigger fan. It also might explain why she married someone who's almost as big a SW geek as me.

Also funny is that about a week before that, I had my very own SW dream that I never told her about. I was also dressed as a stormtrooper, but it was to hide from the Skywalker Ranch security (who were also in costume, but as imperial officers) who were looking for me and my friends. We had managed to sneak onto the ranch and were attempting to watch the movie early. The details are a bit hazy, but I remember lots of sneaking, dodging behind consoles, using the comlink to coordinate our movements, and being totally psyched and having a great time.

I think the dream either means I was way too excited for the movie, or a life of crime is a bit too appealing to my subconscious..... hmmm.....
