COSI: 1 year later
Over the weekend it occured to me, it's been a year since Columbus hosted the Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination travelling exhibit. One year since Star Wars fans from all over the country journeyed to the Buckeye state to take in many of the costumes and props from the SW movies...along with alot of the real life science about our favorite galaxy far, far away.

As part of the Rebel Legion and 501st, I was fortunate to be able to be part of several COSI-related events, I was there opening weekend, was back the following week when Anthony Daniels was in town for a VIP event, I got to lightsaber duel as Luke Skywalker with my friend Marcus (Ohio Garrison) in front of thousands of soccer fans at a Columbus Crew game, and I was there to close things out.

Opening weekend had to be the biggest costuming event I've been part of. I didn't get to be in the RL group pic at Celebration III and couldn't make it out to C4, so this was the first time I got to be in one of the BIG group pics...which was a thrill for me. Add to that I had just finished up my rebel pilot costume, and Hofmann and Reaper had designated Saturday as "pilot day" I got to take part in several photo-ops with my fellow members of Rebel Starfighter Command. I think the way those guys made the new guy in orange feel so welcome is why that costume has pretty much become my stadard event gear.

This was also my first face-to-face meeting with Jeremy Bulloch, who just might be the coolest SW celebrity you'll ever meet. I'd met him briefly at Celebration III, (as an Offical Pix volunteer) passing by in the autograph hall...which (amazingly) he remembered me for that simple courtesy. He had lunch with all of us on Saturday, and posed for countless pictures with both RL and 501st groups. I never thought of myself as that much of a Boba Fett fan, but after this weekend...I'm a fan of Jeremy Bulloch
